Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) announced today that and NFI have agreed to partner in operating the Freightliner Electric Innovation Fleet of eCascadia™ heavy-duty trucks and eM2 106 medium-duty trucks. The move is the next phase of a co-creation process that DTNA is utilizing to actively involve customers in the development of commercial electric vehicles to meet the most valid target applications.
Starting late this year, will begin taking delivery of for use in California and the Pacific Northwest.

and Penske Logistics were among the companies that celebrated Earth Day and sustainability advancements being made in the transportation sector. The setting in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, was the grand opening of a fueling station, with ; , a supply chain solutions provider; and (GNA), clean transportation and energy consultants.
A total of 23 leased CNG alternative fuel heavy-duty trucks will be fueled by , NFI and Wegmans at this location (one of the trucks is pictured, right, from the grand opening).
